Educational Food Tours

Our educational food experiences are a brilliant way to connect classroom learning with real-world food culture and have been specially designed for schools and colleges.

A hands-on, immersive activity, the experience is tailored for students studying GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition and catering college students.

Our carefully curated educational food tours offer a fascinating insight into the intricacies of running a hospitality business. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore a vibrant food hall, hear directly from talented street food vendors, and sample a delightful variety of cuisines, including Latin American, Sri Lankan, Korean, and Italian.

Our educational experiences also include an informative talk and tasting session from Bullion Chocolate focused on the art of making craft chocolate, further enhancing their learning experience.

My Y10 students had a fantastic time at Sheffield Plate and Leah’s Yard courtesy of the wonderful Sophie and Peter at Sheffield Food Tours. Sophie was fantastic right from the start, tailoring the tour to suit the needs of our curriculum. The students loved having time to explore Sheffield Plate independently and, of course, to sample the delicious food on offer. They were all stuffed! A great experience that I would highly recommend to any school. Thanks Sheffield Food Tours! We’ll be back next year!
